Irish School of Farriery

IMFA Shoemaking Competition Awards (3 December 2011)

The IMFA shoemaking competitions for 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th year apprentices and a Master Farrier class were held in the Irish School of Farriery in November. Classes were judged by Liam O'Donovan and Donal Bennett.

Liam O'Donovan, judge, presented Ed Channon with the Irish National Stud Perpetual Trophy for the Master Farrier class

Darren Cooney was presented with the Bord na gCapall Trophy for Best Overall apprentice by Jeremy Stanley, (IMFA Chair)

Donal Bennett, Liam O'Donovan watch as Ian Worrell is presented with his award by Jim O' Leary. Ian passed his IMFA finals and was awarded his certification earlier in the day. Ian was apprentice to Tom Fahey.
